Laura Abrahams

Medical Director

After gaining a degree in Biomedical Science from Sheffield University, Laura went on to study Medicine at The Royal Free Hospital in London. She qualified in 2001 and has been a practising GP since, gaining her MRCGP along with various diplomas such as obstetrics and gynaecology, family planning and sexual health. Laura also enjoys teaching new doctors and has worked at Vaccination UK for over 16 years.

Travel Health and Vaccination Lead

Derek is a specialist in Travel Medicine with over 25 year’s experience. He currently holds Fellowships including the Faculty of Travel Medicine of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons and International Society of Travel medicine.

He is an independent prescriber and an OSCE Medical Examiner for Faculty of Travel Medicine and Bath University. Here at CityDoc Derek is retained as the specialist in travel medicine and clinical governance of the pharmacy services.

For many years, ELCG have supported the Danish and English NHS as a trusted service provider of immunisation programmes in schools and national influenza vaccination programmes. Thus, we are now the leading independent provider of vaccinations in Europe.

As a market leader, we can respond quickly to emergencies like pandemics. During e.g., H1N1 in 2009 and most recently with Covid-19, our response teams were up and running with short notice.

Besides vaccinations, we are covering a growing demand for preventive health examinations. Our clinics perform a range of test and health screenings.
