The World Cup promises to be a spectacular celebration of cricket, hosted in India from October to November 2023. As a nation with a rich cricketing history and passionate fan base, India is also known for its vibrant culture, and diverse landscapes. Key cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, and Chennai will host the matches, offering visitors a chance to explore India’s rich heritage alongside the cricketing action.

The Cricket World Cup 2023 is also an opportunity to immerse yourself in the vibrant culture and diverse experiences that India has to offer, such as the Taj Mahal, Jaipur’s palaces, and the ancient temples of Tamil Nadu Culinary delights include the diverse gastronomic dishes from street food in Delhi to seafood in Goa. And, if you’re interested in nature and wildlife, there are national parks like Ranthambore and Bandhavgarh providing a chance to see tigers and other wildlife


Health and vaccination advice

Before travelling to India, consider:

  • Routine vaccinations: Make sure you are up-to-date on routine vaccines such as MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), DPT (diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus), and Polio.
  • Hepatitis A: This vaccine is recommended for most travellers.
  • Typhoid: Recommended if you plan to visit smaller cities or rural areas.
  • Hepatitis B and Japanese Encephalitis: These may be necessary. Ask your doctor or speak to CityDoc.
  • Malaria: Depending on the areas you plan to visit, anti-malarial medication might be necessary.
  • Rabies: Consider this vaccine if you plan to stay for an extended period or will be in close contact with animals
  • Dengue Fever: Consider this vaccine and use insect repellent.
